Lugh's Knot Handcrafted Olive Wood Pendant - Celtic Necklace
The Lugh's Knot is a symbol used in the Gaelic festival of Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas. According to Celtic mythology, it was established by the god Lugh as a funeral feast in commemoration of his foster mother, Tailtiu. Later, the festival marked the beginning of the harvest season on August 1st.
This pendant has been wood-burned (pyrographed) on olive wood sourced from dead branches and forest pruning found in the fields and forests of southern Spain.
